Tour de Yorkshire will it effect you?

Doncaster kicks off stage one on Thursday 2nd May in the afternoon at 1.05pm

Parking restrictions: Will apply to the whole route and residents are requested to find alternative parking during the race times. No stopping will be put in place 07:00 until 16:00 on the route on race day.

To manage the race safely, the A19 between St George's Roundabout and Bentley Bridge will require parking restrictions to be put in place from 8.30am through to approximately 2.30pm once the race has passed through.


Bus information:

Some disruption can be expected on the day with service buses most likely to be affected.

So we just cannot wait for this year, bringing more tourism and atmosphere to South Yorkshire the Tour De Yorkshire will not disappoint. Get this sen to Tarn out side Barnsley Town hall On Friday 3 May, Stage 1 of the Women's race will start at 09:05am with Stage 2 of the Men's race at 2.45pm


Barnsley Road closures: Some roads town will be closed all day .

Church Street, Eastgate, Eldon Street,Market Hill,Regent Street,Regent Street SouthmSadler Gate and St Mary’s Gate

All on-street parking across the route in Barnsley will be prohibited in the morning from 8am to 9.45am and in the afternoon from 2pm to 3.30pm


Barnsley car parks that will be closed St Mary's Place and Upper County Way


Bus info: If you're travelling by bus on race day your journey may take longer and take a different route to usual
